We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testament, is the divine
revelation and inspired Word of God. Its teaching is the final
authority for all Christian life in matters of faith and practice.
CBS is a Bible study. As part of our in-depth Bible study approach, we learn the weekly passage in 4 different ways:
- Home Study Questions
- Teaching
- Core Group Discussion
- Commentary
One objective of Teen CBS is that our teens would become confident in
their ability to read and understand the Word of God. Many who come to
Teen CBS classes have learned most of what they know about the Bible
from other people rather than directly from the Bible. For this reason,
some have found reading the Bible to be difficult. When they realize
that they can not only understand the Word, but also share their
discoveries with others, they become excited about Scripture. As people
come to understand what God's Word is saying, and as they learn to
apply it in daily life situations, they find they are changed. God's
Word, understood, has the power to transform lives. That is the purpose
of Teen CBS.
Our goal is that everyone in CBS will be:
- Comfortable
- Cared for
- Confident in God's Word
